This weekend I gave in and trekked to Kate Spade for THE sunglasses. Love them! While I was there, I couldn't help but notice the awesome carpet.

And while my black patent leather flats are pretty cute, these shoes would look even better on the carpet:

Right? After Kate Spade, a quick visit to J.Crew was in order. I left empty-handed, but did spot two pairs of mannequins sporting our favorite colors.

My mom and I spotted this stunner of a Marc Jacobs bag at Nordstrom over the holidays. The flap is definitely a red-orange, as it looked orange sitting next to a pair of Tory Burch flats in the shoe section, and red sitting on a shelf in the handbag section.

You guys. Have you seen the commercials for Cottonelle's rather silly toilet paper roll covers? Well, I thought they were goofy, but I've adjusted my attitude now that I've seen that our buddy Jonathan Adler has designed a line. Look at the one on the left!

I'm seriously considering placing an order. They are $4 each, or $2 each if you buy Cottonelle and enter a code from the package. They're made of plastic and would be good for storing other small goodies, right?

I read about these on How About Orange, who saw it on Felt&Wire.

Happy New Year! We are back in Atlanta, unpacking all of our Christmas goodies. We had a great time at home and enjoyed being spoiled by our folks.

I've been meaning to post a photo of my laptop case for years (really), but because it spends a lot of time tucked away in my closet, I've just never gotten around to it. But, since I'm on the road, now seems like the perfect time!

I got it ages ago, before grad school, when I bought my first MacBook. Four and a half years later, the computer and the case are still going strong. The brand is Melissa Beth Designs, although they no longer carry this exact model.

On an unrelated note, I snagged a pair of adorable black patent-leather flats in the recent sample sale. They arrived today (in a pink and orange box!), and they are beautiful. Keep an eye out for future sample sales!

I did a little shopping on Sunday and, thanks to my new toy, I took a few photos to share.

But here's what I ended up with: a dress, tights, and bracelet from J. Crew, all on super sale, and orange Hunter rain boots from Nordstrom Rack (also with a nice discount). Tempting as it may be, I promise not to wear all these things at once.

Also, I got a Kate Spade case for my iPhone, so I snapped a quick shot of the cute packaging.
